Md. Tahmid Ahmed Rakib is currently working as a Software Engineer at Venturas Ltd. He has a strong interest in building practical, real-world applications. After completing his graduation in Computer Science from North South University, he began his professional journey at FringeCore, where he worked on real-world development projects.
He applied for the role at Venturas Ltd through a job post he found either on Facebook or LinkedIn.
The recruitment process consisted of the following phases:
Phase 1: Home Assessment
The first step was an assessment round designed to evaluate his practical development skills. Instead of focusing purely on algorithmic problem-solving, the assessment emphasized real-world coding ability and familiarity with the required tech stack. He was assigned to build a full-stack web application based on specific requirements and technologies within a given deadline.
Phase 2: Technical Interview (Technical Round + Live Coding) with the CTO
This was the primary technical round, where he worked on problems related to the assessment and implemented additional features through live coding. He was also asked about his previous work experience and the reasoning behind the technical decisions he had made in past projects. The interview focused not only on coding ability, but also on how he structured solutions, approached problems, and communicated his thought process.
Phase 3: Final Round with the CEO
The final phase was more conversational and centered around communication skills, expectations, and cultural fit. There were also discussions about his previous experiences and long-term career goals.
