Tanveer Ahmed Nirjhor is currently working as a Junior Software Engineer at TechnoNext Software Ltd. He completed his BSc from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU).

Tanveer applied for the position at TechnoNext through their job portal. After about two months, he was invited to participate in a contest. Following the contest, he was contacted for an interview.

A more detailed breakdown of the recruitment process at TechnoNext included:

Phase 1: The Contest

The first phase was a coding contest hosted on the Virtual Judge platform. The contest lasted for 2 hours and 30 minutes, during which candidates were asked to solve five programming problems. Tanveer successfully solved four out of the five problems and secured 5th place in the rankings.

Phase 2: The Interview

Around two weeks after the contest, Tanveer was invited for an interview, which lasted approximately 45 minutes. The interview was structured as follows:

  • Introduction (5 minutes): The session began with a brief introduction where both Tanveer and the interviewers shared information to get to know each other.
  • Technical Round: The technical interview focused on key concepts such as Object-Oriented programming (with a particular emphasis on abstraction and interfaces), databases, time complexity, trees, and problem-solving strategies. Tanveer’s problem-solving approach and logical reasoning were closely assessed.
  • Behavioral Assessment (10 minutes): The interview concluded with a behavioral assessment, where the interviewers evaluated Tanveer’s interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

At the end of the interview, the interviewers inquired about Tanveer’s salary expectations and potential joining date. Overall, Tanveer had a positive experience and felt a good connection with the interviewers. Two weeks later, he received an official email confirming his selection to join the company.
