Recruitment Stories - Sarataj's Experience at All Generation Tech (AGT)

Sarataj Sultan is currently an Associate QA Engineer at All Generation Tech (AGT), where he thrives in a dynamic and collaborative work environment. He holds a degree in Software Engineering from Daffodil International University, graduating with a CGPA of 3.89. During his university years, Sarataj actively participated in coding contests and project showcase competitions, while also gaining hands-on experience in penetration testing and ethical hacking through DIUISC (DIU ISACA Student Group) and CSC (Cyber Security Center, DIU).

After graduation, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic led Sarataj to return to his hometown, where he faced challenges finding a remote job that matched his skill set. However, in 2022, he moved back to Dhaka and began working as a Web Developer, eventually exploring various other roles. His career took a significant turn when he joined a1qa as a QA Engineer and later secured his current position as an Associate QA Engineer at All Generation Tech (AGT).

Sarataj discovered the opportunity at AGT through LinkedIn. He applied through their portal and, after a few days, was invited for an interview. The process started with a 10-minute cultural fit and English proficiency assessment with the Business Development Manager. During the conversation, the manager shared insights about AGT’s mission, vision, and the potential growth opportunities within the company. Sarataj appreciated how the conversation emphasized both skill development and career advancement for dedicated individuals.

Next, two Senior Software QA Engineers conducted the technical interview, presenting Sarataj with medium-difficulty testing challenges. He solved them verbally, and when asked to optimize his solution, Sarataj offered an improved version, which the engineers appreciated.

After the technical interview, Sarataj received an email from the CEO, inviting him to a one-on-one session. They discussed company policies, benefits, and salary. The negotiation process was smooth, as the management team was fair, market-aware, and receptive to Sarataj’s requests.
