Nawshin Haque is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Daffodil International University. She completed her BSc in CSE from University of Barishal, and her research interests span machine learning, artificial intelligence, speech signal processing, and image processing.
Nawshin applied for the lecturer position through the Skill Jobs portal. The recruitment process in the CSE department of Daffodil International University involved three phases:
Phase 1: Written Exam
The written exam assessed candidates on fundamental and core concepts of Computer Science and Engineering. Topics included data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and other key areas. Nawshin prepared by revisiting textbooks, exploring online resources, solving practice problems, and reviewing essential topics to strengthen her understanding.
Phase 2: Demo Class
In the second phase, candidates were asked to conduct a demo class to showcase their teaching skills. Nawshin chose a topic she was confident in and designed a well-structured, engaging lesson plan. She practiced clear explanations, anticipated possible student questions, and ensured the session was interactive to capture the audience’s attention.
Phase 3: Viva
The final stage was a viva that tested both fundamental and advanced knowledge, along with awareness of recent trends in CSE. Nawshin prepared by revising subjects such as databases, data structures, programming languages, software engineering, operating systems, and machine learning.
Through her dedication and preparation, Nawshin successfully navigated each stage of the process and earned her position as a Lecturer at Daffodil International University.
