Recruitment Stories - Mahbubul's Experience at Brain Station 23

Md. Mahbubul Hasan is currently working at Brain Station 23 as a Software Engineer Trainee. He graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from Khwaja Yunus Ali University and has always been passionate about programming and software development. Known for his eagerness to learn, he has consistently honed his skills through projects, internships, and competitive programming. His recent participation in Learnathon 3.0, an intensive program designed to strengthen practical software engineering abilities, played a significant role in shaping his career path and preparing him for the industry.

Mahbubul’s journey to Brain Station 23 began with the Learnathon 3.0 program, which was sponsored by the company. Through this program, he gained hands-on experience working on real-world projects while receiving mentorship from industry professionals. His dedication and strong performance during the program ultimately led to a job offer from Brain Station 23.

The recruitment process consisted of the following phases:

Phase 1 - Application & Screening

The first step was applying to Learnathon 3.0 through Geeky Solutions. To prepare, Mahbubul sharpened his fundamental programming skills and refined his resume to emphasize academic achievements and project experience.

Phase 2 - Technical Assessments

The program included multiple coding challenges and technical tasks that tested problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and understanding of software development concepts. Mahbubul strengthened his preparation by practicing competitive programming on platforms like Codeforces and HackerRank, along with regular reviews of data structures and algorithms.

Phase 3 - Project Work & Evaluation

A key part of Learnathon involved teamwork on real-world projects using tools and frameworks such as Git, Laravel, and the MVC architecture. Mahbubul emphasized collaboration, communication, and writing clean, maintainable code. Constructive feedback from mentors helped him improve further throughout the program.

Phase 4 - Interviews

After successfully completing the Learnathon, he was invited for technical and HR interviews at Brain Station 23. For the technical rounds, he revised core programming concepts, system design fundamentals, and prepared to explain his project work in detail. For HR interviews, he focused on communication skills and aligning himself with the company’s culture.

Phase 5 - Offer & Onboarding

Clearing all the stages, Mahbubul received an offer to join Brain Station 23. To ensure a smooth onboarding, he familiarized himself with the company’s products, tools, and culture in advance.
