Khurshida Jahan Meem currently works as a Software Engineer at EchoLogyx Ltd. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the Institute of Science, Trade, and Technology. During her university years, Khurshida was passionate about competitive programming. She actively participated in a variety of programming contests and hackathons, including ICPC, NCPC, IUPC, NGPC, and many others. Over the course of her journey, she solved around 500 problems on various online automated judges.
In addition to her programming skills, Khurshida also has a talent for public speaking. She participated in debates on Bangladesh Television five times, earning the title of Best Speaker twice during her school days.
Khurshida’s journey to securing a position at EchoLogyx Ltd was a thorough one, involving several recruitment phases. Here’s a look at her experience throughout the process:
Phase 1: HR Screening
The first step in Khurshida’s recruitment process was an HR screening call. During this phase, she was asked to discuss her professional background, qualifications, current role, and areas of contribution. The interview was conducted in English, and Khurshida made sure to clearly present her experience and achievements.
Phase 2: Technical Interview
The second phase of the process was a technical interview conducted online. The interviewers assessed Khurshida’s knowledge with a mix of theoretical questions covering both basic and advanced topics. She was also presented with code snippets and asked to predict the possible output or solution. To prepare, Khurshida reviewed her extensive notes, where she regularly jots down everything she learns. This preparation proved invaluable as it helped her navigate through the questions with confidence. This round was also conducted in English.
Phase 3: Technical Test
The third phase was an onsite technical test. Khurshida was given two tasks to complete within a set time. Both tasks involved building components using JavaScript and DOM manipulation. Prior to the test, she spent time reviewing documentation and tutorials to strengthen her understanding of JavaScript and DOM manipulation. Her practice and preparation paid off, allowing her to complete the tasks successfully and demonstrate her technical capabilities.
Phase 4: Final Round
The final round of the recruitment process was with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of EchoLogyx Ltd. During this round, Khurshida was asked about her professional background, areas of expertise, and contributions. She also had the opportunity to learn about the company culture and environment. The conversation included some negotiation on the terms of the offer, and the entire discussion was conducted in English. Following this final round, Khurshida received the job offer.
