Recruitment Stories - Imran's Experience at rtCamp

Imran Hasan is a QA Engineer at rtCamp. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from BUBT.

Imran’s career began as an Automation Test Intern at a1qa. Although he faced challenges with English communication skills that led to an early end to the internship, he showed resilience by improving both his communication and automation expertise. His dedication helped him secure a full-time QA Engineer position at WPPool, where he worked for five months before advancing to his current role at rtCamp.

Imran applied for the QA Engineer role at rtCamp through their job portal, and the hiring process spanned approximately two weeks, consisting of four phases:

Phase 1: Assignment

Imran was given an assignment to test his skills in documentation, manual testing, and automation.

  • For the manual testing portion, he reviewed a website and its Figma design for pixel-perfect UI testing, test case writing, and related tasks.
  • For the automation section, he automated the login and purchase flow.

Phase 2: HR Interview

This was a one-on-one introductory session where Imran shared his experiences, and the rtCamp team discussed the role. The session concluded with a discussion about his salary expectations.

Phase 3: Technical Interview

This challenging phase lasted one hour and involved a panel of five interviewers, each taking turns to ask questions. The questions focused on explanations and conceptual understanding.

Phase 4: Offer Confirmation

Two days after the technical interview, Imran received a confirmation email from rtCamp. They scheduled a meeting to discuss the offer letter and confirm his joining date.

Reflecting on his experience, Imran shares that this wasn’t his first job, so he didn’t take any special preparation for the process. Instead, he relied on his confidence and knowledge, answering questions based on his understanding and providing examples where needed. His belief in himself and staying composed worked in his favor.

Special thanks to Imran Hasan for taking out the time to share his recruitment experience with me. If you have any queries, feel free to contact him at imranhasanraaz@gmail.com
