Md. Abdul Al Emon is currently a Software Engineer (QA) at TigerIT Bangladesh Ltd. He earned his BSc in Computer Science & Engineering from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). After graduating, Emon began his professional journey with a two-month internship as a DevOps Engineer at Red Dot Digital Ltd. In August 2023, he joined TigerIT Bangladesh Ltd. as a Software Engineer (QA) and has been contributing to the team ever since.
Emon’s path to TigerIT began with a referral from a senior at university, who was working as a Senior Software Engineer (QA) at the company at the time. He successfully navigated the company’s multi-step recruitment process, which included the following phases:
Phase 1: Written Screening Round
The first phase of the recruitment process tested Emon’s foundational knowledge in programming, networking, operating systems, databases, and his overall observational skills. This round served as an initial filter to ensure candidates had the requisite technical knowledge for the role.
Phase 2: Technical Interview
The technical interview was more comprehensive, focusing on in-depth technical skills. Emon was asked situational questions related to software testing, as well as questions about his previous work experience. He was also given a piece of buggy software to analyze, which tested his ability to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Phase 3: Non-Technical Interview
The final phase was a more personal interview, where the focus shifted to Emon’s CV and long-term career aspirations. This phase gave the recruiters a better understanding of his personality, work ethic, and how well he aligned with the company’s values and goals.
