Recruitment Stories - Tamkin's Experience at Dynamic Solution Innovators

   ~1 min read

Tamkin Mahmud Tan is currently working as a Jr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Dynamic Solution Innovators. He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from BRAC University. Before joining DSi, Tamkin worked as a part-time Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of BRAC University.

Tamkin got to know about the opportunity at DSi through a Facebook group. He then went through the following recruitment phases before accepting the job offer:

Phase 1

This was a technical interview. All of the questions that Tamkin got asked during the interview were from the topics - Software Engineering and Software Testing.

To prepare for the interview, Tamkin brushed upon his knowledge of Software Engineering concepts. In particular, he focused on Object-oriented programming concepts and SQL. In fact, he was given several SQL-related problems to solve during the interview and due to his practice, Tamkin was able to solve them properly. Besides, he took a significant amount of preparation learning several Software Testing concepts, for example, different types of testing, different levels of testing, test case development, STLC, bug report, and so on. The knowledge of Software Testing concepts helped him to answer various scenario-based questions that the interviewers asked him.

Phase 2

This was a non-technical interview with the higher authority. The interviewers asked Tamkin about himself, his goals, his career plans, and so on.

Special thanks to Tamkin Mahmud Tan for taking out the time to share his recruitment experience with me. If you have any queries, feel free to contact him at tamkintan@gmail.com
