   ~2 min read

Sanjina Nowshin Moon is currently working at Kite Games Studio Limited as a Jr. SQA Engineer. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Daffodil International University.

Sanjina applied for the role at Kite Games Studio Limited via their website after learning about the job vacancy from a Facebook post. After that, Sanjina was recommended by a senior at her university who was employed at the company. She went through the following recruitment phases before accepting the job offer:

Phase 1: Online Assessment

The assessment was held in Testportal for 2 hours. It included multiple-choice questions, IQ tests, analytical tests, brain games, test case writing, test scenarios, and bug reports. Sanjina was given a demo application and she had to develop test cases for the application along with preparing a bug report.

Phase 2: On-site Technical Round

In this phase, the interviewers asked questions from the previous assessment. Next, they explained some scenarios and asked Sanjina to provide test cases that she would execute for testing them. The interviewers, for instance, provided a scenario in which Sanjina was to test a mobile application and make sure it functioned as intended across a range of device configurations and screen sizes. Afterward, the interviewers asked Sanjina to test a demo application and prepare test cases and a bug report for it.

Phase 3: On-site HR Interview

During this phase, the HR personnel assessed Sanjina’s communication skills and whether she was fit for the company. The interviewer asked questions about Sanjina’s educational background, her hobbies, her family background, and her future goals. Then, they had a salary negotiation. In the end, the HR and the Project Manager discussed the culture of the company, their products, terms and policies, benefits, and customers.

To prepare for all the phases, Sanjina utilized the Guru99 website, YouTube videos, the SQLZoo website, and more. Besides, she went through some tutorials and videos to better understand the concepts of mobile testing, web testing, JMeter, Selenium, and Postman. As regards the multiple-choice questions, she practiced solving ISTQB Foundation Level exam questions.
