Recruitment Stories - Raihan's Experience at Therap (BD) Ltd.

   ~1 min read

Md Raihan Rahman is currently working as an Associate Software Engineer, QA at Therap (BD) Ltd. He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from BRAC University. Prior to working at Therap, Raihan worked at Aqualink Bangladesh Limited as a Product & QA Associate.

Raihan applied for the role at Therap via the company’s job portal site. Then, he went through the following recruitment phases before accepting the job offer:

Phase 1

This was a technical interview that lasted for about 35 minutes. The interviewers asked Raihan about his former job experience, the projects he had worked on, and the types of testing he had performed. Additionally, they asked basic questions on the topics - web, server, mobile app, API, and software testing. Lastly, the interviewers gave Raihan some testing scenarios, and Raihan was tasked to generate test cases as well as identify the testing types for those scenarios.

Phase 2

This was another technical interview that lasted for about half an hour. The interviewers asked questions on manual testing and the testing processes Raihan had conducted in his previous job. Then, the interviewers asked him to generate test cases for a paper clip and tv remote control. From this experience, Raihan realized that the interviewers tried to assess his thinking skills.

Phase 3

This was a non-technical interview with the HR to assess Raihan’s communication skills and background. He asked Raihan questions about his university life, co-curricular activities, family background, hobbies, and career goals.

Special thanks to Md Raihan Rahman for taking out the time to share his recruitment experience with me. If you have any queries, feel free to contact him at raihan.rahman1010@gmail.com
