Recruitment Stories - Farjana's Experience at BJIT Ltd.

Syeda Farjana Shetu is currently working as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at BJIT Ltd. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Daffodil International University. During her undergraduate studies, Farjana took an interest in research. In order to better her knowledge and skills in research, Farjana volunteered as a Research Associate under the supervision of Ms. Nazmun Nessa Moon, after her graduation. Alongside, she interned as a Research Assistant at Sonargaon University.

Farjana applied for the role at BJIT Ltd. through the job portal site - Bdjobs.com. She then went through the following recruitment phases before accepting the job offer:

Phase 1

This was a written exam consisting of

  • MCQ based questions on the topics - black box testing, white box testing, programming, and mathematics
  • Scenario-based questions such as preparing test cases of a Login form
  • QA Documentation

Phase 2

This was a technical interview. The interviewers asked Farjana questions on

  • Black box testing
  • White box testing
  • API testing

Also, the interviewers gave Farjana several scenarios and asked her to discuss the approaches she would take to find bugs in those scenarios.

Phase 3

This session was conducted by the CEO and the HR at BJIT Ltd. The interviewers asked Farjana about herself, her achievements, reasons behind applying to BJIT, her goals, and so on. This interview was intended to assess Farjana’s English proficiency.
