Sidratul Tamzida Tuba is currently working at Nilavo Technologies Ltd. as a Junior Test Engineer. She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology. During her 3rd year at IUT, Sidratul worked as a Software Quality Assurance intern at Nilavo Technologies Ltd. for 2 months. There, she learned to create test cases, write automation scripts, and the basics of API testing and, security testing. Her experience at Nilavo had helped her to develop an interest in Software Testing as a career and thus, after completing her final year at IUT when Sidratul received a call for an interview at Nilavo for the Junior Test Engineer role, she utilized the opportunity.

The recruitment process consisted of the following phases:

Phase 1: Technical Interview

In this phase, the interviewer asked Sidratul questions on:

  • basic testing terminologies
  • differences among different testing techniques, for example, black box testing vs grey box testing vs white box testing
  • procedures of manual testing such as requirement analysis and, test case creation
  • scenario-based security related issues
  • automated testing
  • finding bugs in a code and, a website

In order to prepare for this interview, Sidratul utilized resources from the websites: Try QA, Software Testing Fundamentals, GeeksforGeeks, and Tutorialspoint.

Phase 2: Non-technical Interview

The interviewer asked Sidratul some IQ questions, about her expectation from the company, and about her educational background.
